Eclipse Aviation Continues to Make Strides
Eclipse Aviation is Albuquerque’s most recent small business triumph. Eclipse is developing a twin engine, six-seat jet plane, the Eclipse 500. The small privately owned company has completed the first phase of testing and is in the process of applying for certification for its plane by the FAA.

Rio Rancho Acquires Land for New High School
Rio Rancho Public Schools acquired 140 acres from the New Mexico’s Commissioner of Public Lands intended for the community’s second high school. Rio Rancho Public Schools will pay the Land Office $2.52 million for the acreage.
